If you hate clutter and want to stay with the ootb plot styles, then edit the old content to use the new system or find a similar piece of content in the new system and edit it to match your previous customizations, whichever is less effort. You could still make the Fine, Thin, etc plot styles use the lineweight from the drawing. Depending upon the amount of content you have to edit, it may be easier to create a custom plot style file that has both the newer, "set the lineweight in the drawing file" plot styles (Full Saturation, 50 Percent, etc), and the older plot styles that allowed for setting lineweight in the plot style (Fine, Thin, Medium, Wide, etc), rather than editing all of the display settings for each content item. If you have a customized Layer Key Style or layer scripts that were created for use with CTB-based files, they likely do not have plot styles assigned to the layers.Īny custom ADT/ACA content you choose to bring forward may or may not have plot styles assigned, and if they do, they may or may not coordiinate with the plot styles in the newer version. The biggest impact will be on your layering.
